I grew up hating spiders – the way they looked, the way they moved, the way their webs felt when you walked into them, everything. I lived in fear during the summer months, when spiders the size of dollar coins would build mostly invisible webs along the side walkway of the house that I needed to use to take the trash cans out for collection.
